"Very enjoyable! I would like to bottle this place up and take it home"

Cellardoor Winery at the Vineyard

In Lincolnville, just five miles from Camden Harbor, the home for the winery and vineyard is a sixty-eight acre farm with a rich history and majestic views to Levenseller Mountain in the distance. Simply, it is a special place, charmed really, to which we proudly welcome friends and guests.

Upon purchasing the winery in 2007 and thus becoming just the fourth owner of the property in the past century, we respectfully restored the 200-year old post and beam barn. While preserving the original barn boards, and the sense of history, we expanded and upgraded the winery facilities, added a porch and loft space, both lovely places for guests to linger and relax, built a new tasting bar, and added a full commercial kitchen. The goal of these efforts was to bring the winery experience to the Midcoast of Maine.

In hopes of providing unique opportunities to enjoy food and wine, we offer a range of samplings, classes and events at the Winery. In addition to the complimentary wine tastings we offer daily throughout the season, we host food and wine pairings featuring artisan food, chocolate and cheese makers every Sunday. The state of the art commercial kitchen is our venue for cooking classes with local celebrity chefs.  Throughout the season, we offer a selection of prepared sandwiches, salads, and cheese plates for guests to savor as they take in the surroundings.

Our five and a half acre vineyard has been replanted with hybrids developed to thrive in the climate of Maine.  Our mission is to harvest a crop of grapes in 2012 for future estate grown releases. In the meantime, our grapes are sourced from Washington, California, and New York allowing our winemaker to craft a wide range of wines for every taste.

Doormark Story
Early in the 20th century, a hopeful traveler stopped at our 200-year-old farm. Upon taking his leave, he carved this symbol on a door in the barn as an invitation to others to discover for themselves what he had found here. Acceptance, cheer, purpose, belonging, welcome – this is what the door mark means. Wherever you find this door mark, you find friends. Share this spirit of true hospitality in your home and at your table.
