Get your rest the night before, because this day will be full of opportunity for surprise and delight! Come join us. You‘re invited to:
Paper Tissue Crafts: 10am Local artisan Datvik Deirkrikorian will show children how to make a Mother‘s Day wonder with paper tissue – a perfect gift for mom! Medicinal Herb Walk: 11am Allie Smith takes a walk through our gardens, exploring the plants there that grow, heal and restore. This is a unique opportunity to learn about the beneficial properties of different plants as well as tips on gathering and preparation of many common plants. Box Lunches available: 11am – 2pm Don't worry about lunch – we've got it packed for you! Pick up your box lunch and find whatever spot on the property suits you to enjoy it. Cookies and Cupcakes: 2pm – 4pm Children can become little bakers by decorating their own cupcakes and cookies. Yum! Tri-Plane Performance: 1pm It's a bird! It's a plane! No, wait – it‘s a TRI-plane! Actually, it‘s a World War I Fokker flown by none other than “The Red Barren” Ken Cianchette. This is what we call “The thrill of Spring”– don't miss his spectacular aerobatics over the vineyard. Loop-the-loop, anyone? Mommy Makeover: 1pm – 4pm Stop in for a 10 minute makeover with Rhonda Nordstrom and feel like a new woman. Sign up for an appointment time early! Canvas Painting: 2pm – 5pm You can't help but notice that everywhere you look around the property, it looks like a painting – Carol Lattawill certainly will attest to that! Don't miss Carol painting canvas at the barn all afternoon. Heirloom Seeds & Talk Heirloom Seeds are seeds from flowers, fruits, and vegetables that have been around for fifty years or more, living antiques that have been passed down from one generation to the next. Diana Chapin from Maine Heirloom Gardens will hold a talk on these fascinating seeds and plants.
