The house that was yellow
A community icon
"Built in the 1800’s and originally known as the Tribou House, the Villa has, through the years, been home to a barber shop, a print shop, and an art gallery. But on the day it was painted one of the brightest yellows ever seen on a house, it’s also been a community icon. Known for years simply as “The Yellow House” (“The Gold House” if you’re so inclined), we are excited for its future as “Cellardoor Winery at the Villa!”

Experience the vineyard
Cellardoor Winery at the Villa” is our second retail site. The Villa is located in a historic Victorian at the intersection of Routes 90 and 1 in Rockport, Maine. Consider it a “gateway to the Maine Wine Trail” as we bring a taste of the Vineyard experience to Route One. Here, you can experience some of the wines, food pairings and gifts that we offer in full at the Vineyard in Lincolnville.

The beautiful Victorian flavor of the house inspired us in our renovation plans expanding upon that particular architectural theme. We have extended the existing building to include a conservatory for our tasting room, state of the art kitchen and gift shop space. We “salvaged” a beautiful Victorian home formerly located on the campus of Bowdoin College. Using these authentic, historic parts and pieces, we merged two beautiful Maine houses together into one. The Villa is now open for business. Stop by and join us...you have an open invitation.
